Are you a Work Health and Safety Business Partner with a strong clinical background to lead safety initiatives across our healthcare operations?
This is a full-time opportunity based across multiple sites in Adelaide. You are a WHS professional that understands the complexities of clinical risk, infection control and patient care environments. Working closely with the executive team, other leaders and staff of Amplar Health Home Hospital to embed a culture of safety and wellbeing.
Your opportunity
- Responsible for management of WHS risks across operations.
- Partner with teams to review, develop and implement WHS strategies tailored to innovative healthcare settings.
- Manage risk assessments, incident management and root cause analysis.
- Provide specialist advice and management of fleet, ensuring vehicles are safe, compliant, and fit for purpose, while promoting a culture of driver safety, risk reduction, and continuous improvement.
- Provide expert advice on WHS legislation, infection prevention, manual handling and hazardous substances.
- Participate in the development, implementation and review of WHS policies, procedures, management plans, guidelines and other documents as required in line with legislation and industry best practice. Development of new procedures and resources as required and according to risk.
- Support accreditation and compliance with safety standards.
- Deliver targeted training and education to clinical and non-clinical staff.
- Monitor safety performance and drive continuous improvement across operations.
- Assist with the development and implementation of the Amplar Health Home Hospital strategy and roadmap.
You will bring:
- Qualifications in WHS, Nursing, Allied Health, or other related clinical discipline.
- Extensive experience in a WHS role within a healthcare/clinical setting.
- Strong understanding of safety legislation, infection control, and clinical governance.
- Proven ability to engage and influence stakeholders across all levels.
- Experience with incident management systems and safety data analysis.
- Hold a South Australian Working with Children Check and National Police Clearance (or are willing and eligible to obtain).
- If successful, willing and able to provide proof of up-to-date vaccinations.
