This role plays a key part in improving access to quality care for residents and supporting staff to feel more competent, confident, and fulfilled in their work.

As a Virtual Nurse, you will be part of a dedicated team supporting a cluster of 10 residential aged care homes. Led by a Nurse Practitioner, your team will function as a virtual extension of the RACH care team, working closely with local staff to ensure safe, high-quality care delivery. You'll build strong relationships with the homes you support, understanding the needs of residents and their families, while also familiarizing yourself with the local regions and service systems that surround them.

About you:

You bring a wealth of experience to the role, with a minimum of 3 years full-time equivalent recent nursing experience, including at least 2 years in aged care nursing within residential aged care homes (RACH). You are comfortable conducting clinical assessments and communicating through virtual mediums. With outstanding written and verbal communication skills, you excel in nursing assessments and care planning, ensuring the best outcomes for residents.

Your technological literacy is key, while maintaining effective communication with residents and care team members. A Batchelor degree in Nursing and a current, unrestricted AHPRA registration is essential.

Ideally, you also bring experience in virtual care and have formal qualifications or expertise in a speciality area (eg complex wound care, pressure care, continence management, chronic pain, end-of-life care, and dementia care).

You will be available to work : AM and PM shifts on a rotating roster
