The current Digital platforms have strong capabilities but for us to win in the context of 2030 vision, our digital assets will need to be reimagined and further evolved that is scalable, increases agility and accelerate solution delivery with improved security posture. 

The Opportunity

As a key member of the Security Architecture team, you will lead the design and evolution of enterprise security capabilities, architecture patterns and technology roadmaps. You'll work closely with technology leaders, delivery teams, risk and security stakeholders to ensure security is embedded by design across Medibank's technology landscape. This is a 12- month day rate Contract at $1300 incl super per day.

What We're Looking For

We're seeking an experienced Security Architect with a strong track record delivering security architecture and uplift initiatives within large, complex, and regulated environments. You'll bring expertise across multiple security domains, including cloud security (Azure, AWS, GCP), identity and access management, data protection, security operations, infrastructure security, and risk management.

You will have experience developing security roadmaps, architecture standards, governance frameworks, and risk-based solutions aligned with recognised frameworks such as NIST, ISO27001, and APRA requirements. Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence business and technology leaders are essential.

Nice to Have

Experience delivering enterprise security transformation or uplift programs.
Background in financial services, healthcare, utilities, critical infrastructure, or other regulated industries.
Hands-on experience with cloud security, identity and PAM solutions, Zero Trust, SIEM, vulnerability management, and data protection platforms.
Exposure to large-scale cloud migrations, digital transformations, or ASX-listed organisations.

Qualifications

Degree in Cyber Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, SABSA, CCSP, or Azure Security certifications are highly regarded.
