We are establishing a new Care Service and are seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join the service as foundational team members.

 

This is a unique opportunity to be involved from the ground up, contributing to the establishment and embedding of clinical practice, care models and team culture within a brand-new service supporting patients.

 

The service is located in a city-fringe setting, approximately 4km northeast of the city centre, offering a well-connected and accessible environment.

 

About the Role

As a Registered Nurse within the Care Service, you will deliver high-quality, person-centred nursing care to patients with complex clinical and functional needs. Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, you will support patient recovery, independence and safe discharge outcomes.

 

As a foundational staff member, you will also have the opportunity to contribute to:

  • Establishing clinical standards, processes and care pathways
  • Embedding best-practice documentation and governance
  • Supporting service commencement and early operations
  • Building a positive, collaborative and respectful team culture

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care in line with clinical standards and guidelines
  • Undertake comprehensive assessments, care planning and clinical monitoring
  • Administer medications and manage clinical documentation accurately
  • Collaborate with medical, allied health and care teams to support patient goals
  • Contribute to quality improvement, risk management and patient safety initiatives

 

About You

You are an experienced Registered Nurse who values delivering high-quality, person-centred care and takes pride in strong clinical practice. You enjoy working in evolving environments and are motivated by the opportunity to be part of something new contributing your experience, judgement and professionalism to help establish a service from the ground up.

 

You bring a collaborative approach, sound clinical decision-making and a commitment to safe, respectful care, and you are comfortable working as part of a multidisciplinary team within a developing service model.

 

Essential requirements:

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
  • Experience in acute & sub-acute care
  • Strong clinical assessment, communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
  • Hold current First Aid and CPR certificates 
  • Hold a South Australian Working with Children Check and National Police Clearance (or are willing and eligible to obtain). 
  • If successful, willing and able to provide proof of up-to-date vaccinations.
