The current Digital platforms have strong capabilities but for us to win in the context of 2030 vision, our digital assets will need to be reimagined and further evolved that is scalable, increases agility and accelerate solution delivery with improved security posture.
About the Role:
We’re seeking an experienced Product Owner to join our Medibank Operations Squad on an initial 6-month contract. This squad is responsible for the ongoing servicing and optimisation of Medibank’s web and app platforms, with a strong focus on customer self-service, call efficiency, and digital experience.
You’ll step in to lead the squad while the current Product Owner is on leave, taking ownership of the backlog and driving delivery across a range of initiatives aimed at improving the customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and manage the squad’s product backlog, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs.
- Analyse customer experience data and translate insights into actionable backlog items.
- Shape ideas and concepts through to delivery in a fast-paced, agile environment.
- Collaborate closely with developers, designers, and stakeholders to prioritise and deliver impactful features.
- Focus on enhancing self-service capabilities across Medibank’s digital assets (web and app).
- Work within a mix of public-facing and secure environments, ensuring seamless integration with backend systems (e.g., claims and servicing platforms).
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience as a Product Owner in a digital environment, ideally with mobile app and web servicing platforms.
- Strong understanding of customer self-service and support/help centre functionality.
- Ability to interpret and act on customer data and experience metrics.
- Experience working in complex, integrated environments with backend systems.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Background in healthcare, insurance, or similar regulated industries is a plus.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with call centre support tools or help centre content management.
- Familiarity with digital servicing in high-volume customer environments.
- Previous work with organisations like Medibank or similar is highly regarded.
