Nurse Unit Manager - Transitional Care Services

We are building our service delivery and investing in our nursing staff and are seeking an experienced Nurse Unit Manager (NUM).
This is a unique and exciting opportunity for a dynamic nursing leader who is passionate about supporting patients to achieve their best possible outcomes.
Be involved in a service from the ground up, contributing to the establishment and embedding of clinical practice, care models and team culture within a brand-new service supporting patients.
About the Role
As the Nurse Unit Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of our innovative service. You will provide strong, visible leadership and foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and professional development.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support a dedicated team of health professionals
- Ensure safe, effective, and evidence‑based care delivery
- Manage staffing, budgets, and operational workflows
- Drive quality improvement initiatives and accreditation standards
- Build strong relationships with patients, families, and the broader healthcare team
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and learning‑focused workplace culture
About You
- Current unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Demonstrated leadership experience within acute and rehabilitation care setting
- Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to patient‑centred care and clinical excellence
- Ability to lead, mentor, and inspire a multidisciplinary team
- Hold current First Aid and CPR certificates
- Hold a South Australian Working with Children Check and National Police Clearance (or are willing and eligible to obtain).
- If successful, willing and able to provide proof of up-to-date vaccinations.
