About the Role

As Nurse Unit Manager, you will play a pivotal leadership role overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Transition Care Service while championing clinical excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.

 

Leading from the front, you'll empower and develop your team, ensure high-quality patient-centred care, and contribute to the strategic growth and success of the service.

 

What You'll Be Doing

  • Provide inspiring leadership and support to a dedicated multidisciplinary team
  • Champion safe, effective, and evidence-based clinical practice
  • Drive service excellence through quality improvement initiatives and accreditation activities
  • Oversee workforce planning, rostering, operational performance, and budget management
  • Build strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare stakeholders
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and learning-focused culture where people can thrive
  • Support the development and growth of an innovative and evolving healthcare service

 

About You

You are a confident and engaging leader who is passionate about delivering exceptional care and developing high-performing teams, in addition to:

  • Current unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in acute and rehabilitation care settings
  • Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and organisational skills
  • A commitment to patient-centred care and clinical excellence
  • Proven ability to mentor, coach, and inspire multidisciplinary teams
  • Current CPR certification
  • A South Australian Working with Children Check and National Police Clearance (or willingness to obtain)
  • The ability to provide evidence of current vaccinations if successful
