About this opportunity
As a Medical Officer, you will be at the forefront of our virtual care delivery, managing acute patients remotely, whilst being supported by highly skilled and experienced medical, nursing and allied health team.

- Exercising your experience in the clinical diagnosis, investigation, treatment, and ongoing management of acute conditions.
- Managing acute presentations in the community of conditions, such as but not limited to, cellulitis, community acquired pneumonia; exacerbation COPD, VTE and complicated UTI.
- Collaborate with a broad multi-disciplinary team to support holistic patient centred care
- Access to professional development and mentoring.
About you
- You will participate in a 7-day rolling roster, working 8-hour shifts between 7am and 10pm.
- Have full unrestricted AHPRA registration as a medical practitioner with at least 5 years’ experience as medical registrar, General Practitioner and/or with specialty interest.
- Can apply theoretical knowledge and practical experience to determine the appropriate clinical diagnosis, investigations, and treatment of patients with acute conditions, in line with clinical risk and compliance frameworks.
- Have confidence in providing virtual care; confidence in reviewing biometric data trends to assist with early identification of deterioration will be highly regarded.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills.
- Have a high level of professionalism, with the ability to relate well with people of all interests, background and abilities and a commitment to delivering exemplary care to our patients.
- Hold a South Australian Working with Children Check and National Police Clearance (or are willing and eligible to obtain).
