Are you a nurse with a passion for teaching and a desire to shape the future of healthcare?
As a Clinical Nurse Educator working at Amplar Health you will assist in providing clinical support, leadership, and quality management across discipline.
The Clinical Education and Academic Liaison is a key member of the Nursing Leadership Team. This role will focus on enhancing current training and clinical education and working with internal and external partners in the development of frontline staff, nurses and care workers, by maintaining and advancing nursing practice, complex care skills and building the clinical competence of staff thereby ensuring safe and effective care delivery.
What you’ll be doing;
• Designing learning that sticks – facilitating orientation to new hires in the community
• Coaching with purpose- provide ongoing education programs and training to new and experienced nursing staff
• Challenging the status quo – Identifying and addressing gaps in staff competence and bring innovative ideas to this space
• Bridging the gap – connect education to outcomes that actually matter – nurses wellbeing and healthcare transformation
• Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards
• Collaborating with nursing leadership to enhance the quality of patient care and identify training priorities
This permanent full-time role will see you working Monday to Friday and our staff enjoy flexible working arrangements. We would consider a part time job share for the right person(s).
What you will bring?
An experienced clinician, you are education focused, a leader, an influencer and committed to delivering best practice outcomes for new and experienced clinicians. Qualified as a Registered Nurse, it is essential you bring a clinical background and proven capabilities in teaching, training or staff development. Post grad qualifications in training & assessment or clinical education are highly desirable but not essential.
Other essential skills you’ll need;
• Strong organisational and leadership abilities
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in clinical education and evaluation
• Be tech savvy – high-level computer skills (proficient in Microsoft Office suite)
• Initiative and the ability to juggle competing priorities across the business
• Be hands on and flexible – enjoy immersing yourself in all things community – face to face training, patient visits in the community, skills trainings
