About the Role
We’re seeking a highly skilled Specialist Business Analyst to support the uplift of Medibank’s Operational Risk Management Framework (ORMF) as part of the CPS220 Project. This role will play a key part in enhancing our Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) system to align with the updated risk framework and deliver robust reporting and assurance capabilities. This is an initial 6-month contract with a day rate of $950 - $1000 incl super. 

Key Responsibilities
You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders, risk teams, and technical experts to:

• Document requirements for building a new Risk Taxonomy (L1 and L2 risks) in the GRC system.
• Elicit and define reporting requirements and functionality for risk, appetite, and profile reporting.
• Facilitate workshops to translate Risk Appetite Statements into operational terms and vice versa.
• Support the design and documentation of a new Control Assurance module.
• Build and uplift collateral such as the ‘Incident, Issues and Actions Management’ page.
• Collaborate with technical teams to ensure accurate translation of business needs into system functionality.

Core Activities Include:

• Gathering and documenting detailed business and reporting requirements.
• Identifying and grouping reporting needs by audience (e.g., Hub Leads, Risk Managers, Executives).
• Facilitating and guiding workshops to support requirement gathering and template completion.
• Validating requirements with stakeholders and managing sign-off processes.
• Mapping data sources and designing logical report flows based on user journeys.
• Partnering with developers, designers, and analytics teams to deliver fit-for-purpose solutions.

What You’ll Bring:

• Strong understanding of risk and compliance concepts, ideally within a regulated environment.
• Proven experience as a Business Analyst on reporting and analytics projects.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and workshop facilitation skills.
• Experience with requirements documentation and reporting templates.
• Familiarity with regulatory reporting and GRC systems (Protecht experience highly regarded).
• High attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively across business and technical teams.
