We're looking for a curious, collaborative and proactive Adviser - Controls Mastery to join our Enterprise Controls team. In this role, you'll help strengthen risk and controls practices across Medibank, working closely with teams across the business to drive better outcomes for our customers, our people and our organisation.

The Opportunity
As an Adviser in our Controls Mastery team, you'll play an important role in supporting the assessment, monitoring and ongoing improvement of controls across Medibank.
Working closely with business stakeholders, Risk, Management Assurance and Internal Audit teams, you'll provide practical guidance, support control assessments, monitor remediation activities and contribute to initiatives that strengthen our enterprise-wide control environment.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with risk, compliance, assurance or controls experience who is looking to broaden their exposure in a large, purpose-led organisation.
What You'll Be Doing

Assessing the design and effectiveness of business controls through reviews, walkthroughs and evidence-based testing.

Providing practical insights on control gaps, risks and remediation opportunities.

Supporting control owners to monitor, track and complete remediation activities.

Preparing clear and meaningful controls, assurance and risk reporting.

Building strong relationships with stakeholders across the business and becoming a trusted partner in risk and controls discussions.

Contributing to enterprise risk and controls uplift initiatives, including improvements to control standards, frameworks and ways of working.

Supporting capability uplift through knowledge sharing, coaching and collaboration.
About You
You'll bring a combination of analytical thinking, stakeholder engagement skills and a genuine interest in helping organisations improve their risk and controls environments.
We're interested in hearing from people who have:

Experience in risk, compliance, controls, assurance or audit environments.

Exposure to controls testing, control reviews, process walkthroughs or assurance activities.

An understanding of risk management and compliance principles.

Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complexity into practical advice.

Experience working with diverse stakeholders and building trusted relationships.

A proactive mindset, strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.

Exposure to controls transformation, uplift or improvement programs would be highly regarded.
Relevant qualifications in commerce, law, technology, risk, management or a related discipline will be viewed favourably.
