The Opportunity

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Physiotherapist and Occupational therapist to join our Amplar team, working primarily in residential aged care in Port Macquarie. This permanent part-time role provides the chance to make a meaningful impact by improving the health, mobility, and independence of older adults in aged care settings.

Committed to enhancing residents' wellbeing and quality of life, you will provide expert services tailored to individual needs. Your approach focuses on delivering comprehensive care across a range of programs including:

New resident and ongoing assessments – Conducting comprehensive assessments for new residents to establish their needs, as well as performing regular functional reviews, post-hospital assessments, and post-fall evaluations to ensure optimal care and recovery.

Collaborative facility support – Working closely with aged care facilities to provide additional resident support, tailoring interventions to meet facility-specific needs and enhance residents’ overall mobility, strength, and independence.

Private services – Providing personalised support based on individual needs.

Exercise groups and activities – Facilitating engaging and therapeutic movement programs to promote overall wellbeing.


About You

You are an AHPRA-registered Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist with at least 1–2 years’ experience, ideally within a residential aged care or community setting. You thrive in an autonomous work environment while maintaining a strong client-centred approach to care.

Your passion for aged care, commitment to improving mobility and function, and drive to enhance residents’ independence make you an excellent fit for this role.
