We’re seeking a Workplace Relations Advisor to join our team on a 12‑month fixed term contract, supporting a busy and impactful workplace relations agenda during a key period of enterprise agreement bargaining.
This role goes beyond explaining the rules. You’ll help shape how workplace relations is delivered at Medibank — simplifying complexity, influencing without friction, and introducing smarter, more tech‑enabled ways of working that improve outcomes for leaders, employees and the business.

What you’ll be doing
You’ll provide strategic and practical workplace relations advice across the organisation, partnering closely with leaders and People Partners.
Your day‑to‑day responsibilities will include:
- Providing clear, commercial and values‑aligned advice on employee and industrial relations matters
- Supporting enterprise agreement bargaining, including preparation, negotiations, stakeholder engagement and implementation
- Advising on performance, conduct, disciplinary matters and complex case management
- Supporting organisational change initiatives, including restructures, acquisitions and divestments
- Interpreting and applying the Fair Work Act, modern awards, enterprise agreements and employment contracts
- Advising on external workplace relations matters, including participation at the Fair Work Commission.
- Identifying opportunities to streamline processes, improve workflows and introduce smarter, tech‑enabled solutions to WR challenges
About you
You might already have the skills for this role if you:
- Think strategically and act pragmatically when navigating complex workplace relations issues
- Are confident partnering with senior leaders and influencing outcomes without friction
- Balance sound risk management with human‑centred decision making
- Enjoy problem‑solving and finding better, more efficient ways to deliver outcomes
- Are curious, adaptable and open to change in a fast‑evolving environment
- Bring an innovative, future‑focused and tech‑enabled mindset to traditional WR work
Experience in enterprise agreement bargaining and strong working knowledge of Australian workplace relations legislation will be highly valued.
