The Opportunity - Privacy & Trust Advisor
This role plays a key part in embedding strong privacy, trust and ethics practices across Medibank, supporting our ambition to build trust with our customers through responsible data use.
Reporting to the Head of Trust & Ethics, you will support the delivery of Medibank’s Privacy Management and Enterprise Ethics Frameworks, working closely with business stakeholders to uplift awareness, capability and compliance across the organisation.
How you will create value
In this broad and hands-on role, you will add value by:

Supporting the design and implementation of privacy processes and governance practices across the business.

Embedding “privacy by design” principles across initiatives from ideation through to delivery.

Providing practical advice to stakeholders on privacy operations, risks and controls.

Supporting data-related risk assessments, privacy incident investigations and mitigation activities.

Delivering training and awareness initiatives to uplift organisational understanding of privacy and ethics.

Contributing to the implementation of Medibank’s Enterprise Ethics Framework and related initiatives.

Supporting the management of privacy governance, including reporting, registers and committee inputs.

Collaborating with Legal, Risk, Data Governance and Technology teams to ensure effective management of privacy risks.
About you
You are a privacy, risk or compliance professional with a strong interest in data ethics and customer trust.
Key attributes and experience include:

Experience in privacy, data governance, risk or compliance.

Working knowledge of the Australian Privacy Principles and their practical application.

Experience supporting privacy incidents, risk assessments or governance processes.

Experience in translating obligations into practical, customer-centric processes that balance compliance with user experience.

Experience or interest in privacy by design and embedding ethical decision-making practices.
