The Opportunity – Treasury Accountant

As a Treasury Accountant within the Financial Control Division, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of Treasury activities and process enhancements in this space. You will take ownership of daily cash and liquidity management, including monitoring and reporting of actual and forecast daily cash flow. You’ll also contribute to the month end process, ensuring key internal deadlines are met, and apply a strong attention to detail when executing trades and settlements to the custodian.

How you will create value

In this broad ranging role in a developing environment, you will use your exceptional financial skills and attention to detail to add value to Medibank by:

• Ensuring all Treasury trading activity is appropriately captured by the custodian, in the Treasury Management System (TMS), and in Medibank’s Accounting System
• Preparation of a range of monthly reports including data sheets, investment income estimates, cash flow analysis and regulatory reporting
• Support the uplift of reporting and cash flow processes
• Assist with preparation of the Medibank Group half-year and year-end report, including key note disclosures
• Monitor adherence with Investment Committee-approved policies
• Support the enhancement of controls and risk management practices associated with treasury activities 

About You

You bring a strong attention to detail, proven experience in month-end processes and the ability to produce high-quality reports for stakeholders across the business. You’re collaborative, quick to build trusted relationships and adaptable. You have a continuous improvement mindset and have an interest in the Treasury function.
