Your new role:
We are seeking a Technical Coordination Specialist to support the implementation of RAM upgrades and Windows 11 migration across our organization. This is a newly created position that will involve a blend of project coordination, administration, and hands-on technical work.
Please note that you will be required to be onsite at our Melbourne Collins Street location.
As a Technical Coordinator, you will play a key role in ensuring smooth coordination of hardware installations, software upgrades, and device refreshes, while liaising with users and internal teams to ensure everything runs efficiently. You’ll be managing scheduling, tracking progress, and ensuring that hardware and software upgrades are completed in a timely manner.
This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a critical project within a dynamic organization, with the chance to gain hands-on technical experience while also coordinating a large-scale upgrade initiative.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with users to schedule RAM installations
- Physically install RAM upgrades (training will be provided).
- Manage RAM hardware allocations and installations interstate.
- Coordinate and ensure all users requiring RAM upgrades (approx. 200 users) are completed, including 100 users visiting FIT desks and 100 requesting device refreshes through Business-As-Usual processes.
- Coordinate device refreshes for users unable to visit the FIT desk, tracking deliveries and returns.
- Update relevant systems to reflect the current status of installations and upgrades.
- Oversee and schedule batch updates for Windows 11 upgrades and follow up with users to ensure completion.
- Follow up with users regarding any outstanding tasks and escalate where necessary to ensure deadlines are met.
About you:
- Proven experience in coordinating or scheduling software updates or operating system upgrades in a corporate environment.
- Strong Excel skills to track progress and manage data.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with users and internal teams.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated ability to assign tasks and coordinate work across different teams or individuals.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work to strict deadlines.
- Proficient in Outlook, MS Word, and MS Teams.
