The Opportunity - 3 Month contract - Full time hours 

  

As a Talent Adviser, you will manage the end-to-end attraction, engagement, selection and onboarding of high calibre candidates into the Medibank business    within your designated portfolio. Additionally, you will use your expertise to provide stakeholders insight on best practice, market insights and consult with Hiring Managers to ensure the most suitable candidates are introduced to the business.

In this role, you will also collaborate as part of the broader Talent Engagement team to ensure candidates, new employees and hiring managers are set up for success. 

 

This an initial 3-month contract opportunity with flexible working arrangements. You can work within our new Medibank Hub and from home.

 

Key responsibilities will include: 

 

  • Screening CVs and applications, shortlisting high potentials for phone screens.
  • Coordinating and conducting interviews with candidates, managers, and recruiters – ensuring rooms and invites are organised and interviews are conducted efficiently.
  • Ensure recruitment deliverables are met within the agreed timeframes, discussing limitations if targets are not being met by raising risks & suggesting remedial action options.
  • Providing candidates with progress updates during the recruitment process, including critical feedback and advice
  • Arranging psychometric assessments via preferred providers
  • Processing offers and coordinating background checks including criminal records checks and references.
  • Working in line with our Capability Framework to build the overall talent profile of the business.
  • Support diversity and inclusion initiatives within our organisation.
  • Building effective relationships with stakeholders across Medibank and external partners.

  

 

About You 

To be successful in this role, you will have recruitment experience within agency or an Inhouse talent team in a large/complex corporate environment. You can maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism and build and nurture positive and effective working relationships while providing the best candidate experience. You demonstrate good judgment and are proactive, flexible, and solutions-minded, with strong attention to detail and are exceptionally organised. 

 

  • Proven experience in talent acquisition or agency recruitment working in a high-volume desk, preferably in a corporate environment.
  • Strong understanding of recruitment best practices and current talent market trends.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and influence stakeholders.
  • Strong communication and administrative skills.
  • Tech savvy with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
