Strategy Analyst

 

We are looking for a Strategy Analyst to play an integral role in supporting ahm’s overall business strategy and executing against ahm’s strategic goals.

 

This is a big picture, strategic role, and requires a natural problem solver and strong communicator who can work cross functionally to help ahm deliver on its core performance objectives.

 

How will you do this…

 

  • Conduct analysis of strategic opportunities informed by robust qualitative and quantitative analyses, whilst providing a level of commercial excellence to specific functions and ahm squads
  • Support and thought partner effectively with Senior Leaders in developing business cases and investment proposals whilst playing a key role in shaping Corporate Plan settings
  • Structure, prepare and present well-written, logical materials to support senior decision making
  • Deliver actionable insight and an integrated view of performance through well-developed numerical, analytical and modelling ability
  • Play a key role in the evaluation and due diligence of new markets, products, partnerships and investment opportunities
  • Champion a collaborative culture, leveraging cross-functional capability to solve problems and drive outcomes within ahm and across the Medibank Group in dual-brand settings

As a Strategy Analyst you have a naturally curious mind and have proven experience working in a highly complex role that influences key strategic decisions.

 

You can apply critical thinking and business acumen when designing solutions to business problems and possess a robust analytical and problem-solving toolkit. You also feel comfortable dealing with ambiguity in your role.

 

You’re skilled at working collaboratively with others and can actively contribute to the achievement of common goals. You are also an innovator and thought leader who can effectively manage stakeholders and influence at all levels.

 

Other requirements?

 

  • Degree qualified with demonstrated experience in management consulting and / or in-house strategy roles
  • Familiar with the use of issue-based problem solving and other strategy frameworks to define and structure recommendations to solve novel problems
  • Prior exposure to a wide range of data and analytical concepts and methodologies, including market sizing, competitive analysis & benchmarking, customer needs analysis / primary research, KPI development & measurement, financial modelling and valuation
  • Project / Programme Management leadership skills
  • High level of proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint & familiarity with business intelligence / data visualisation tools such as Tableau
