Squad Lead - Managing Counsel, PHI
DOCKLANDS, VIC, AU, 3008
We’re looking for a forward-thinking legal professional to lead high-impact legal support for our PHI portfolio, including Medibank Hub, ahm and Corporate and Overseas.
This is a leadership role where you’ll:
- Lead and coach a high-performing legal team, fostering a culture of empowerment, accountability and inclusiveness Deliver strategic, commercially focussed legal advice on complex legal matters
- Ensure legal services are fit-for-purpose and aligned to evolving business needs
- Represent TLC across internal and external forums, and play an active role in leadership groups
- Support capability building through mentoring, training and development
What you’ll bring:
- Minimum 10 years’ post-qualification experience in corporate and commercial law, ideally within health or insurance
- Proven ability to lead and develop legal teams in complex, regulated environments
- Strong expertise across contract law, competition and consumer law, privacy, IP, and dispute resolution
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels
- A pragmatic, solutions-oriented mindset
