The Opportunity

Are you a passionate Full Stack Software Engineer looking to make a meaningful impact in a purpose-driven organisation? At Medibank, we’re committed to better health for all Australians, and we’re seeking a talented engineer to join our Digital Platforms & Engineering team.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality technology solutions that meet business needs. You’ll work across the full development lifecycle from design and estimation to implementation and support, ensuring maintainable, secure, and scalable codebases. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to drive innovation, improve processes, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver development outcomes on time and to a high standard.
Design and implement technical solutions aligned with business initiatives.
Support testing activities including system, integration, and user acceptance testing.
Maintain documentation and follow change control procedures.
Stay current with system security practices and industry trends.
Ensure solutions meet customer experience and business requirements.
Contribute to team ways of working and participate in Communities of Practice.
Recommend improvements to operational efficiency and standards.

Must Haves

Strong proficiency in ReactJS, RESTful APIs, and microservices patterns.
Experience with GIT, Jira, Confluence, and Github Actions or equivalents.
Agile experience using Scrum or Kanban methodologies.
Solid understanding of test-driven development, CI/CD, and building high-quality solutions.
Experience with Micro-Frontends, Mono-repos, NextJS, AWS Cloud Services, and Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) will be highly advantageous.
