The Opportunity
A great opportunity is available for an experienced scrum master to contribute to the business as a key player in a dynamic team. Your role is to ensure the work within the squad’s backlog is managed, groomed and delivered with the teams in accordance with their sprint and program increment goals. They will focus on achieving the delivery of these features, epics and stories in relation to time, quality and objectives of the project.

As Scrum Master, you will be tasked with tracking the sprint progress (day to day work), report impediments, making sure sprint commitment will be fulfilled, managing bottlenecks in the delivery process, planning resources, managing timelines and sprint priorities, and work closely with Product Owners, Business Analyst, Architects, Delivery Managers and the Development teams throughout the entire end to end project phases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and facilitate scrum ceremonies including stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, showcases and deployment activities;
  • Management of dependencies within and across squads/platforms/features and ensure risks & issues are actively managed and actioned;
  • Collaborate with Product Owner and squad members to ensure effective backlog management
  • Coach, support and mentor agile framework and practices to the squad and promote consistency of delivery process across squads;
  • Capture, document and review squad metrics such as cycle time, velocity, health rating to determine areas of opportunities and improvements
  • Strive for constant improvement within the squad and embedding a continuous improvement culture;
  • Provide clear change and communication to the group when required and lead the status reporting of your squad


About You

We are looking for a strategic thinker with experience in leading the delivery of business outcomes. In addition, you will possess the following:

  • Prior experience as Scrum Master, Iteration Manager or Delivery Lead within an Agile adaptive environment
  • Proven experience in leading and coaching scrum teams with sound judgment, keen eye for detail and tenacity for empowering the team to solve issues in delivering to successful outcomes
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills to align, negotiate and resolve conflicts
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills required to present and report to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proactive mindset to strive for constant improvement within the squad and embedding a continuous improvement culture.
  • Scrum Master certification is highly regarded
