Your new role: 

We're seeking a Senior Product Designer with expertise in design systems to join our team. Working closly  the Design System Lead, you'll play a crucial role in developing, implementing, and maintaining our Design Language System (DLS) across responsive web, iOS, and Android platforms.  
 
Your focus will be on creating cohesive UI components, patterns, and documentation that ensure consistency and efficiency but more importantly provides the foundation of all digital products and a common language between product, design and engineering. This is a technical design role that bridges design and engineering, requiring strong collaboration skills and a passion for systematic design thinking. 

Key Responsibilities: 

Design System Development 

• Create, refine, and document reusable UI components and patterns for our Design Language System. 

• Develop and maintain component libraries and design assets in Figma and Supernova. 

• Ensure consistency and scalability across responsive web, iOS, and Android platforms. 

• Collaborate with design and engineering teams to ensure accurate implementation and use of design system components. 

• Support the Design System Lead in evolving our DLS strategy and roadmap. 

Cross-functional Collaboration 

• Work closely with feature squads to ensure seamless implementation of design components 

• Partner with UX designers to understand how design system components are used in product flows 

• Collaborate with product managers to prioritise design system improvements based on product needs 

• Support other designers in effectively utilizing the design system in their product work 

Quality & Documentation 

• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for our design language system. 

• Define and document usage guidelines and best practices for our design language system components. 

• Conduct regular audits to identify inconsistencies across products. 

• Help establish governance processes. 

Continuous Improvement 

• Research industry best practices and emerging trends in design language systems 

• Analyse usage metrics and gather feedback to improve. 

• Identify opportunities to optimise design workflows and tools 

• Contribute to the evolution of our design system processes and methodologies 

About You: 

• 5+ years of experience in UI/UX design, with at least 2-3 years focused on design systems 

• Strong portfolio demonstrating experience with component-based design and systematic thinking. 

• Expert in Figma with experience using design system tools and plugins. 

• Proficient understanding of front-end development concepts and frameworks. 

• Experience working with design tokens and implementing responsive design principles. 

• Familiarity with iOS and Android design patterns and guidelines. 

• Strong understanding of accessibility standards and how to implement them in a design language system. 

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical design concepts clearly. 

• Collaborative mindset with experience working in cross-functional agile teams. 

• Strong attention to detail and passion for creating pixel-perfect designs. 

• Working knowledge of Supernova or similar design system management tools is a plus.
