The Opportunity

We are looking for an experience Power Platform Engineer to join Medibank in this newly created role. This role owns and runs Medibank’s Microsoft Power Platform as a secure, reliable and scalable enterprise service. You’ll make it safe and easy for teams to automate, build and innovate—balancing strong governance with flexibility and speed, so the organisation can confidently use low‑code and AI capabilities.

What the person will do

In this role, you’ll combine deep platform knowledge with a strong risk and governance mindset. You will:

• Build on and Mature Power Platform environments that are secure, compliant and fit for enterprise use
• Set and enforce governance, security and operational controls across Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse and Copilot Studio
• Own day‑to‑day platform administration, monitoring performance, usage and service health
• Provide tier‑3 platform support and work with Microsoft and internal teams to resolve complex issues
• Enable makers and delivery teams through clear guardrails, documentation and governance‑aligned patterns
• Contribute to ongoing platform maturity, including adoption of new automation and AI capabilities in a controlled way

Key skills / strengths

We’re looking for someone who brings strong platform expertise and works well with others. Key strengths include:

• Proven experience establishing and operating Microsoft Power Platform in a medium to large organisation
• Strong hands‑on skills across Power Automate, Dataverse, environment strategy, DLP policies and ALM
• Solid understanding of Microsoft 365, Entra ID (Azure AD), security and compliance controls
• Ability to balance enterprise risk and governance with the need for innovation and business agility
• Confidence partnering with security, architecture, risk and delivery teams
• Clear communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts in practical, plain language
• A continuous improvement mindset and interest in automation, low‑code and AI

Microsoft Power Platform certifications (such as PL‑900, PL‑400 or PL‑600) and experience with a Power Platform Centre of Excellence are highly regarded, but not mandatory.
