The Opportunity - Senior Performance & Insights Analyst

As the Senior Performance and Insights Analyst within Medibank’s Planning, Performance and Enablement Division, you will play a crucial role in developing analytical solutions that drive performance across the business. This role will work closely with stakeholders from a range of business teams including Finance & Strategy, Information Management, PHI and Amplar business teams.

How you will create value

In this broad ranging role, you will use your exceptional data analytical and reporting skills to add value to Medibank by:

·       Maintain and deliver reports and analytics which align with organisational strategies and providing insightful commentary on variances, trends and performance drivers using best practice report development and design utilising Medibank enterprise reporting tools and data warehouse.

·       Design and build insightful data visualisation and self-service interactive analytics dashboards.

·       Demonstrate strong stakeholder relationship skills with key senior financial stakeholders as well as supporting the business and leadership teams through collaborative engagement.

·       Support Enterprise operating rituals through analysis and insights to improve conversations at wider team events.

·       Provide support to senior stakeholders as required to understand reporting and actionable insights.

·       Develop and enhance enterprise reports to improve external and internal reporting synergies using both internal and industry data.

About You

You have proven experience in reporting, data analytics or business intelligence within financial services, insurance or other related fields. Enthusiastic about data analytics and collaborating with business teams across the group is a crucial aspect of this role.

Other key requirements include:

·       Strong experience in building reports and dashboards in Tableau or similar analytics tools (for example: microstrategy, PowerBI).

·       Demonstrated skills and experience working with large datasets on enterprise database platforms such as AWS Redshift and SQL Server.

·       Proficient in SAS and SQL, and intermediate to advanced Excel skills.

·       Demonstrated experience in reporting and analytics process automation and optimisation.
