The Opportunity 

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Manager - Corporate Development to help drive Medibank’s growth agenda. 

Joining our Group Strategy team, you will work alongside senior stakeholders to shape enterprise strategy and lead end-to-end execution of M&A transactions for the Group, and will bring strong commercial judgement, strategic thinking and execution excellence to deliver transactions that support our strategy.  

This role offers exposure to complex, high impact transactions and the opportunity to influence Medibank’s future growth. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Lead end-to-end M&A execution, from origination through to completion, including financial modelling, valuation, due diligence, structuring and negotiation 
  • Own and develop robust financial models (DCF, ROIC and multiples) to support investment decisions and ensure consistency across the deal lifecycle
  • Manage cross functional due diligence, coordinating internal teams and external advisers across  financial, tax, legal, commercial, property, technology and people workstreams
  • Prepare high-quality Board and executive papers, presenting investment rationale, key risks, scenarios and clear recommendations
  • Build and manage key stakeholder relationships with target companies, advisers and counterparties during live transactions
  • Support deal structuring and negotiation strategy, translating diligence findings into practical commercial outcomes and risk mitigation
  • Identify and assess potential acquisition opportunities, including build, partner or buy options aligned to Group strategy
  • Maintain strong risk discipline, maintaining risk registers, identifying issues early and timely escalation where required
  • Contribute to broader Group Strategy activities, including market and competitor analysis and enterprise wide strategic initiatives 

 

Who We’re Looking For 

  • 8–10 years’ experience in Investment Banking, Transaction Advisory and/or an in-house Corporate Development team (preferred within a large or ASX listed organisation)
  • Proven track record of delivering M&A transactions endtoend
  • Advanced financial, accounting and numerical skills including modelling and valuation expertise across P&L, cash flow, balance sheet and investment metrics
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to assess strategic fit, deal structure and execution options
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex stakeholder environments and engaging effectively with senior leaders
  • Exceptional analytical, problemsolving and written communication skills, including the ability to produce Boardlevel content
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity, with a proactive, results driven mindset
  • An understanding of how to incorporate AI to drive execution efficiency and improved decision making
