Purpose of the role

The purpose of this role is to develop and manage commercial arrangements with public and private providers to optimise value and achieve our Triple Aim of Healthcare (outcome, quality, and affordability). Please note that this is a full-time, 12-month contract.


How will you add value?


The Commercial Partnership Manager – Programs plays a key role in supporting various programs to achieve their vision and purpose. They have overall responsibility for developing commercial arrangements between HMO and public and private providers. In doing so, the incumbent will:

  • Own the primary relationship and commercial accountability for the contractual requirements and performance of providers programs 
  • Work internally to evaluate and develop potential purchasing strategies across programs
  • Apply business intelligence, data analytics, risk analysis and provider insights into the planning, management and market strategy
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of business drivers and consequences of these arrangements
  • Develop recommendations to internal executive stakeholders
  • Lead contract negotiations
  • Manage timely compliance with all contractual reporting, provider obligations and contractual performance indicators
  • Work across business units in H&S (Strategy, Clinical, Benefits and Analytics) to manage the program according to the broader H&S objectives, i.e. health cost leadership and clinical quality
  • Develop operational processes to manage multiple programs




Who are we looking for?


This role will be well suited for someone with extensive experience in developing commercial strategies, financial modelling and a background in complex provider service delivery

ideally within the healthcare space.


Further requirements include:

  • Senior commercial management and financial modelling experience 
  • Ability to solve complex problems using established frameworks, e.g., SCQ
  • Demonstrated experience working with senior-level executives
  • Ability to self-motivate and innovative
  • Proven experience negotiating complex commercial agreements
  • Strong ability to address operational and contractual risk
  • Superior report writing and presentation skills



  • Solid program management experience
  • Relevant health and or business qualifications
  • Knowledge of the private health industry
