Senior Data Solution Designer

The Role 

Reporting to the Data Solution Lead, The Information Management Senior Designer is a key member of Medibank Information Management Team and is responsible for converting business requirements and system issues into IM solutions. 

About you

- You will have an enterprise view of the Information landscape and have the ability to Influence IT and Business for a strategic outcome.

- A good knowledge of new technologies/solutions to fit into Information Management landscape.

- Hands on knowledge and experience of big data technology landscape

- Innovate ideas to design data solution fit for purpose for the business stakeholders.

- An understanding of the various functional business areas and the associated data outcomes business / external stakeholders require.

- Advanced knowledge and experience on one or more Data model techniques – Data Lake, Kimball, Inmon, Data Vault;

Technically we are looking for prior experience across the following

- Advanced knowledge and experience on SQL

- Advanced Knowledge of Data Modelling tools – ERWIN, SPARX EA.

- Cloud Data technologies – S3, Redshift, EMR, Pyspark

- A good knowledge of one or more Business intelligence and Analytics tools – Tableau, Micro strategy, SAS, R, Python.

- Understand database performance factors and trends pertaining to very large database design

- Experience with NoSQL and related next-generation data modelling approaches
