The Opportunity – Senior Commercial Performance Analyst (Thrive)

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Commercial Performance Analyst who is looking to take the next step in their analytics career. This role offers the chance to work closely with the Strategy & Analytics Lead and broader Commercial Performance Squad to deliver strategic, data‑driven insights that support enterprise growth and maximise customer and commercial value.

This is a great opportunity to apply strong analytical capability, structured problem‑solving, and stakeholder engagement skills to influence decision‑making and drive measurable business impact.

How you will create value

In this broad and fast‑paced role, you will use your advanced analytical and commercial skills to add value to Medibank by:

• Developing high‑quality dashboards, reporting, and performance reviews to support operational and strategic decision‑making
• Conducting advanced analysis across multiple data sources to uncover insights aligned to Medibank’s commercial and strategic priorities
• Providing clear, structured recommendations and actionable insights to stakeholders across the business
• Supporting the design, assessment, and tracking of key initiatives to ensure benefits are realised
• Enhancing reporting efficiency through automation and scalable analytical tools
• Identifying performance trends, risks, and opportunities, advising leaders on potential impacts and responses
• Working collaboratively with cross‑functional partners to embed insights into business processes and uplift commercial capability within the team

About you

You bring strong analytical and communication skills, with experience working with complex data sets in a commercial or strategic environment. Your ability to translate insights into practical recommendations, coupled with your stakeholder and problem‑solving capability, will be crucial for success in this role.

Other key attributes include:

• Demonstrated experience in commercial analytics, business strategy, or finance (3+ years preferred)
• Technical proficiency in SAS/SQL, Excel and visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to simplify complex analysis for diverse stakeholders
