The Opportunity 

Join Medibank’s Strategy & Analytics team as a Senior Commercial Performance Analyst, where you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the performance and future direction of Member Health programs. 

This is a highly impactful role for someone who thrives on turning complex data into meaningful, actionable insights. You’ll partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders to influence decision-making, optimise performance, and drive initiatives that enhance both customer outcomes and commercial value. 

You’ll be at the centre of a high-performing squad, helping embed a data-led, performance-driven culture while contributing to strategic priorities and long-term growth ambitions. 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality commercial analysis, dashboards, and performance reporting to support data-driven decision-making
  • Translate complex data into clear insights and strategic recommendations that drive tangible business outcomes
  • Partner with stakeholders across the business to embed insights into processes and initiatives
  • Identify opportunities for performance improvement and support the execution and tracking of key initiatives
  • Build and enhance reporting and analytics capability, including automation and visualisation
  • Contribute to the development of a strong performance culture, sharing knowledge and uplifting analytical capability within the team
  • Manage multiple priorities, ensuring analysis is focused on highest-value opportunities 

 

Must haves

  • 3+ years’ experience in commercial analytics, business strategy, or finance
  • A degree in commerce, economics, finance, statistics, or a related field
  • Proven ability to apply structured problem-solving to complex business challenges
  • Strong experience turning data into insights that drive business impact
  • Advanced skills in SQL/SAS, Excel, and PowerPoint, with experience in Tableau or similar visualisation tools
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence and present insights clearly
  • Experience building business cases, assessing opportunities, and supporting end-to-end execution of initiatives
