Senior Commercial Manager

As a Senior Commercial Manager within our Health Partnerships & Networks team, you'll lead high-impact commercial initiatives across Medibank’s provider network, driving innovative funding models, commercial optimisation opportunities, and data-driven decision-making that supports better healthcare outcomes for our members. 

Working across a range of initiatives, you'll bring together commercial acumen, data-driven insights and stakeholder engagement to develop innovative funding solutions and support complex negotiations to help deliver innovative and sustainable healthcare solutions. 

This is a highly visible role that provides the opportunity to influence senior leaders, contribute to strategic decision-making and help shape the future of healthcare delivery in Australia. 

Your impact:  

In this role, you will: 

• Lead strategic commercial initiatives that support Medibank's healthcare partnership and funding objectives.   

• Develop commercial models, insights and recommendations to inform business decisions and improve outcomes for members.   

• Partner with teams across Analytics, Finance, Actuarial, Legal and Healthcare Funding to solve complex business challenges.  

• Use market intelligence, data and industry insights to identify opportunities, risks and emerging trends across the healthcare sector.  

• Support provider partnership strategies through commercial analysis, negotiation support and performance reporting.  

• Prepare clear and compelling reports, business cases and recommendations for senior leaders and executive stakeholders.  

What will set you up for success 

We're interested in the skills and strengths you'll bring to the role. You may have gained these in healthcare, consulting, finance, strategy, analytics or another related environment. 

Some of the capabilities that will help you thrive include: 

• Minimum 5 years experience and demonstrated achievements in complex business modelling and other quantitative analyses (e.g. forecasting, scenario modelling etc.). 

• Experience using data and analysis to solve complex business problems. 

• Confidence building relationships and influencing stakeholders at all levels. 

• Ability to simplify complex information and communicate clear recommendations. 

• Strong financial modelling, business analysis or scenario planning capability. 

• Experience balancing multiple priorities and delivering outcomes in a fast-paced environment. 

• Curiosity, sound judgement and a proactive approach to identifying opportunities for improvement. 

• Experience working within healthcare, health insurance, consulting or a regulated industry will be highly regarded.   

• Experience with private hospital funding models, hospital contracting, or healthcare reimbursement frameworks will be highly regarded.
