Senior Ancillary Partnerships Manager

The Opportunity 

As the Senior Manager Ancillary Partnerships, you will be responsible for driving Medibank’s ancillary provider network strategy, supporting the differentiation and management of Medibank’s ancillary provider networks and programs. This role is also responsible for two direct reports.  

How you will create value 

In this crucial and broad ranging role, you will use your exceptional commercial skills and strategic vision to add value to Medibank by: 

• Play a strategic advisory role and apply learnings from success of partnerships already established to continue to build the number, size and scale of strategic partnerships. 

• Manage ancillary benefit outlay through effective end-to-end provider contract management of top tier ancillary provider groups, and oversight of the Members Choice network operations. 

• Apply business intelligence, data analytics, risk analysis and provider insights into reporting, as well as the contract planning, relationship management and negotiation strategy. 

• Work across squads to lead the development and presentation of partnership performance reports to senior internal and external stakeholders. 

• Have people management responsibility for two Provider Network Managers including their performance and capability development. 

• Lead and influence stakeholders to support sound commercial decision-making and make recommendations focused on business outcomes. 

• Take an enterprise-wide view of network performance to inform partnership strategy. 

• Develop and report on relevant tracking metrics, and proposal of proposed enhancements to ensure sustainable implementation of initiatives. 

About you 

You have demonstrated strong commercial acumen and strategic vision including managing high-value stakeholder relationships and delivering performance insights to senior internal and external stakeholders, enabling data-driven decisions and long-term business growth. Throughout your career you have successfully demonstrated the ability to manage people and collaborate with different areas of the business.   

Other key experience includes: 

• Tertiary qualifications in a health or business-related discipline 

• Previous experience working within health insurance or health care industry would be highly regarded. 

• Strong initiative and critical thinking skills 

• Ability to manage and influence senior stakeholder relationships, including the ability to balance and manage conflicting stakeholder interests. 

• Demonstrated analytical skills with the ability to compile and communicate complex information 

• Highly capable of facilitating workshops and discussions. 

• Demonstrated contract management skills
