The Opportunity:

HealthStrong are seeking a Scheduling and Systems Manager, responsible for leading a high performing team of workforce planners (scheduling staff) and system enablement staff to support the broader HealthStrong business.


This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact within our growing organisation, working in partnership with business stakeholders to facilitate, design and execute strategies in order to meet external contractual goals as well as internal operational goals.


The Scheduling Lead is responsible for leading and providing strategic guidance to their teams including scheduling and staff allocations in the areas of Residential Aged Care (RAC) and Podiatry, as well as best practice system support.  This team is responsible for executing and driving the strategy through optimising and remediating activities to ensure the consistent delivery of our contracted services.  This team will also play a key role in financial implications and operational decisions to maximise business performance.


The role is operational and will retain a portfolio across RAC & Podiatry and undertake the responsibilities of a scheduling and system support team.

Some Key contributions include:

  • Accountable for full staff utilisation and resultant profitability
  • Effective management and development of solutions specific to leave planning and resource gaps.
  • Accountable for system and privacy governance controls, policies and procedures
  • Maintain knowledge of external landscape and changing industry guidelines to ensure best practice operational rhythm
  • Monitor and escalate operational risk from a financial, compliance and privacy perspective
  • Conduct regular internal reviews of system capability and integrate with other Medibank group wide platforms
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement and business wide capability
  • Contribute to HealthStrong retention, recruitment and engagement initiatives by aligning best practice workforce planning strategies
  • Develop strong relationships with Medibank supporting services to ensure premium service delivery – eg: HR, Payroll, Risk and Legal

About You

You will demonstrate your ability to work autonomously, build relationships across all aspects of your role and make professional contributions to a multidisciplinary environment.   

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • A minimum of 8 + years previous experience in a blended Scheduling/Workforce Planning role
  • Demonstrated experience working in a similar omni-channel environment
  • Leadership and management experience

The following are desirable traits of the successful candidate:

  • Formal management qualifications
  • Experience within the aged care sector

The successful candidate will be based in either Sydney or Melbourne and interstate travel will be required.
