The Opportunity


As Platform Operations and Delivery Manager joining Medibank, you will lead a Salesforce team of two administrators and a developer to manage and enhance vital systems that support Medibank’s interactions with providers.

You will call upon your team leadership skills to drive timely delivery of quality outputs that support strategic development of the Salesforce org, as well as promoting upskilling, cross-skilling and professional development of the team members.

You will utilise your technical background, improvement skillset and versatile product and platform knowledge to steer implementation of tactically-selected enhancements and new features to continuously improve the design, functionality and user experience of the org.


Your top-notch communication skills will be key to working closely and effectively with team members, business users, project team members and technical stakeholders – both internal and external.


As part of the extended leadership team for the department, you will also drive a positive, cohesive and supportive culture that prioritises individual and team development.



Key accountabilities


  • Proactively manage the team and team member performance, ensuring high efficiency, quality of outputs and adherence to agreed processes
  • Ensure BAU platform maintenance, data flow, platform updates, access and security tasks are completed proactively, accurately and within specified timeframes
  • Support the team to methodically understand problems, solve for root cause and critically analyse work requests to agree on the best way forward for all stakeholders
  • Work with the team and stakeholders to maintain and improve ways of managing requests
  • Work with business and technical stakeholders to provide expertise on the design and function of the org and considerations from a future direction / best-practice perspective
  • Drive a culture of sharing, celebration, team problem identification and solving
  • Act as a central point of contact and escalation for the team
  • Enable and advocate for team members to schedule time for development activities – both technical and non-technical



Who are you?

You have proven experience in a Platform and Operational Manager role and are highly proficient in Salesforce management (or you can demonstrate equivalent and transferrable management capability for software of a similar magnitude).

You’re skilled at working collaboratively and actively contributing to the achievement of common goals. You are innovative and a thought leader and you can effectively manage stakeholder relationships and influence at all levels.


You have experience in proactively pursuing opportunities that lead to performance improvements, drive more effective platform utilisation and improve user experience


You have demonstrated oral and written communication skills which is evident in your ability to communicate technical information to a variety of audiences.


You thrive in an environment in which you can mentor and support your team.


You work well autonomously and know when to involve your people leader.


Other desirable skills?


  • Project leadership experience or knowledge, especially agile project management
  • Lean or six sigma methodology
