SAP Senior Payroll Consultant

We're seeking an experienced Senior SAP Payroll (ECP) Consultant on a 12 month fixed term contract to lead the design, configuration, support, and enhancement of SAP Payroll solutions. Acting as a trusted advisor to Payroll, HR, Finance, and IT stakeholders, you'll ensure accurate, compliant, and efficient payroll outcomes while supporting both day-to-day operations and strategic payroll transformation initiatives. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert production support for SAP Payroll (ECP), resolving complex payroll issues and ensuring payroll accuracy and compliance. 

  • Configure and maintain payroll schemas, PCRs, wage types, finance postings, and integrations. 

  • Lead payroll solution design, requirements gathering, and delivery for system enhancements and transformation projects. 

  • Support payroll testing activities, including SIT, UAT, regression, and parallel payroll runs. 

  • Manage legislative updates, including STP, Payday Super, taxation, and superannuation changes. 

  • Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to deliver best-practice payroll solutions. 

 

About You 

  • Extensive experience in SAP Payroll, ideally Employee Central Payroll (ECP). 

  • Strong expertise in payroll schemas, PCRs, wage types, IDOCs, G/L posting, STP, terminations, and payroll reporting. 

  • Solid understanding of Australian payroll legislation and compliance requirements. 

  • Proven experience in payroll production support, project delivery, and payroll integrations. 

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills. 

 

Desirable 

  • SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central (EC) 

  • Payroll Control Centre (PCC) 

  • Workforce Software experience 

  • S/4HANA exposure
