Your career in healthcare made personal

At Medibank we’ve recently unified our health services under one brand – Amplar Health.

With over 1000 employees, our nurses, GPs and other amazing allied health professionals our focus is on improving healthcare experiences and championing greater access, choice, and control for people in Australia when it comes to managing their health.

Here at Amplar Health, it is our mission to accelerate the health transition from traditional models and settings to personalised on-demand advice and treatment closer to home. We will achieve this by shifting our customer’s experience from episodic, fragmented interactions to proactive, continuous journeys across our primary, community, specialist and acute models of care.

As our Program Director, you will work closely with the CEO and Executive Leadership Team to translate business strategy into coherent, co-ordinated programs of work that strengthen performance, scalability and long-term sustainability.

This is a newly created role that will drive operational transformation, reshape organisational design and embed innovation and continuous improvement in the use of Jira and agile project management across Amplar Health. You'll take charge of building and delivering program and project capability, ensuring consistent program governance, frameworks and systems are in place to improve cross-functional alignment, transparency and accountability.

Day to day this role will see you

  • Build and maintain Amplar Health’s transformation roadmap, ensuring appropriate prioritisation and sequencing of projects and supporting the executive with clear performance metrics and reporting tools.

  • Ensure a large portfolio of major cross-functional ICT, capital, and business improvement projects are delivered on time, on budget, and with measurable impact.

  • Establish a consistent approach for the Amplar Health Program and Project capability across waterfall and agile project management; building robust program governance, frameworks and systems that drive optimal business solutions and outcomes.

  • Support a cross-functional digital and technology transformation agenda to integrate complex challenges in customer and people experience, data and business processes.

  • Ensure that project management policies and procedures meet with internal and external audit (ISO) standards, and compliance standards outlined in company policies.

  • Ensure the appropriate approvals and funding are being managed and reported on for each project.

Here at Amplar Health we empower our team to work flexibly. You can choose if your day is best spent working from home or the office – though the role does have stakeholders across Australia, so some travel will be required.

What we need from you:

First and foremost you will need to be genuinely passionate about improving outcomes across the health system by empowering customers with personalised, on-demand services and programs. We are purpose and values driven and care deeply about our customers, people and the community.

You’ll have a significant wealth of experience in program governance including cost control, scope management and integrated delivery schedules as well as and portfolio and change management. Ideally you will have built your career in highly regulated, fast-paced environments, particularly in technology deployments.

You’ll need to have exceptional senior stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills, and be confident in your ability to manage and resolve complex issues and arrive at recommendations that drive priorities and deliver optimum customer and commercial benefit.
