The opportunity
We’re looking for an experienced Program Dietitian to join our Preventative Health Operations team, delivering virtual care across Medibank’s Type 2 Diabetes and Better Me, Better Knee programs.
This role focuses on supporting participants through structured, evidence‑based programs designed to achieve sustainable weight loss and improved long‑term health outcomes.
You’ll deliver care 100% virtually via phone and video, working closely with participants over time and supported by a strong multidisciplinary team.
What you’ll be doing
- Delivering virtual dietetic care via phone and video consultations
- Providing intensive health coaching and behaviour change support
- Supporting participants across our Medibank Type 2 Diabetes and Better Me, Better Knee programs
- Working with a range of evidence- based dietary approaches, including:
- Meal replacements as part of a very low energy / very low calorie diet
- Higher protein, reduced carbohydrates diets
- Managing a structured participant caseload, in line with service delivery guidelines
- Completing initial assessments, progress appointments and timely and accurate clinical documentation
- Balancing meaningful participant conversations with clear KPIs and program requirements
About you
You’re a Dietitian who is passionate about coaching, behaviour change and preventative health.
You’ll bring:
- Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) status
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in chronic disease management, weight management or preventative health programs
- Strong experience in health coaching and behaviour change, ideally within structured programs
- Exposure to very low energy diets, meal replacements and/or bariatric pathways
- Background in private practice, private clinics or community‑based care (hospital‑only experience may be less suited)
- Strong time management skills and comfort working within service delivery guidelines
- Confidence delivering care via phone and video consultations
- Reliable home setup, including a private workspace to maintain client privacy and internet speeds of 50 Mbps upload / 20 Mbps download
