About the role


It’s an exciting time to be at ahm because we are growing, we have a huge member-base and this is a newly created role for our growth portfolio. As the Product Lead- Optimisation, you will be responsible for analysing market trends, customer needs and product performance to find ways to continue to grow ahm’s Private Health Insurance portfolio.


This is a full-time permanent opportunity with the flexibility to work from home in Melbourne/VIC and in the Melbourne CBD office when it re-opens. 


Reporting to the Head of Product and Delivery, you are happy to roll up your sleeves to:

  • Assess product sales performance to assess areas of over and under performance by channel, and identify opportunities to improve performance to ensure the business continues to deliver on its growth ambition
  • Monitor margin performance across the product range, and forming strategies to address areas of margin under performance to ensure the business continues to grow sustainably
  • Look at product and customer life cycle management strategies, with responsibility to develop strategies to identify members who may not be on the right product for their needs  
  • Optimise our products for selling and servicing through all channels and markets.


Now, who are you?


Well firstly, you have an entrepreneurial spirit. You’ve also got a passion for health and you’re a little bit obsessive about understanding our customers.  That’s a given. You have commercial acumen and can interpret portfolio performance and develop strategies to improve member and commercial outcomes. You have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in strategy or product management, advanced communication skills, including ability to structure a story and communicate with clarity. Demonstrated success in end to end and structured problem solving.
