About the role  

It’s an exciting time to be at ahm because you’ll have the autonomy to create interfaces, systems and prototypes for our products and bring a vision to life in a way that feels inspired, refined and compelling.


In this role as Product Designer you'll tackle complex tasks and transform them into intuitive, accessible and easy-to-use designs for our customers. Achieving this goal requires collaboration with teams of Designers, Researchers, Marketers, Developers and Product Managers throughout the entire design process – from creating user flows and wireframes to building user interface mock-ups, components and prototypes. 


You also get to draw on research to understand our users’ needs, advocate for them and ensure that the final product is awesome.


Reporting to the Senior Product Designer, you are happy to roll up your sleeves to:

  • Create concept models, sketches, and polished visuals to enable digital experiences to be communicated to the wider business and aid in delivery.
  • Create new design artefacts, including (but not limited to) user flows, wireframes, mock-ups, components, and prototypes.
  • Deliver both responsive web and app-based designs.
  • Translate abstract concepts, distil usability studies and research into simple and elegant interfaces.
  • Establish relationships with a range of stakeholders vertically and horizontally across the business to support the delivery of business outcomes.
  • Improve customer loyalty (and create advocates) through valued and memorable customer interactions.
  • Work with key CX, UX, marketing, product and cross-functional stakeholders to build a customer research metric that aligns design, behaviour, Voice Of Customer metrics, conjoint analysis and new insights.

You’re not afraid of a challenge, in fact you love the idea of making an impact and leaving your mark. You’ll be able to tie in your visual impact to improving the overall UX, your design chops around perfect typography, grids and colour theory is to be feared. You love design and stay up to date with all the latest and love sharing anyone that will listen.


You will need:

  • A BA/BS degree in Design (e.g. interaction, graphic, visual communications, product), HCI, CS, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in a software delivery/design team.
  • Experience with design systems.
  • Experience in designing and shipping software for multiple device types and contexts.
  • Experience writing microcopy and a good understanding of technical requirements and limitations of web and native mobile platforms.
