In this role, you'll help shape the policies, rules and guidance that support our health insurance products and experiences, ensuring they remain clear, compliant and customer-focused.

The Opportunity

As a Policy Adviser, you'll play a key role in maintaining and evolving Medibank's Fund Rules, policies and supporting documentation. You'll work closely with stakeholders across the business to research complex issues, provide practical policy advice, and develop solutions that balance customer needs, regulatory requirements and commercial outcomes.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, interpreting legislation and translating technical information into clear, practical guidance.

What You'll Be Doing

• Reviewing and maintaining Fund Rules, policies and supporting documentation to ensure they remain clear, consistent and customer-focused.
• Conducting research and analysis on policy and regulatory matters to identify solutions to business challenges.
• Evaluating options, assessing risks and providing recommendations to support decision-making.
• Advising teams across Medibank and ahm on the interpretation and application of Fund Rules, policies and private health insurance legislation.
• Supporting the development of new products and enhancements to existing offerings.
• Identifying opportunities to improve policy frameworks, processes and supporting collateral.
• Collaborating with stakeholders across Product, Legal, Compliance, Marketing, Customer and Operations teams to achieve positive outcomes.
• Ensuring policy content and guidance materials are accurate, practical and easy to understand.

About You

You're a curious and analytical thinker who enjoys working through complex issues and building practical solutions. You communicate with clarity, build strong relationships and can confidently influence outcomes across a diverse range of stakeholders.

You'll bring:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into plain language.
• Experience researching, analysing and solving complex business, policy or regulatory issues.
• The ability to interpret legislation, regulations, policies or legal principles and apply them in a practical way.
• Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
• Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to evaluate options and make recommendations.
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• A collaborative mindset and a solutions-focused approach.

Highly regarded

• Experience working within a regulated environment.
• Knowledge of private health insurance, healthcare, financial services or a similar industry.
• Experience balancing compliance requirements with customer and commercial outcomes.
