The Opportunity:

 

Reporting directly to the Enterprise Test Manager, this role be responsible for facilitating non-functional testing (performance testing) to ensure the core & strategic applications have been tested for system reliability, capacity and scalability.

The Performance Test Specialist will also be responsible for checking that all the critical systems are up and running at increasing loads. This role is a part of Enterprise Test Practice for Medibank & ahm.

 

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

 

  • Oversee the Performance Test Operating Model and strategy for the program
  • Develop performance frameworks and processes that promote ease of use, maintainability, reusability, and scalability
  • Analyze the software application architecture, performing proof of concept with various licensed and open-source tools, suggesting suitable performance testing and monitoring tools. 
  • Developing the performance test scripts for complex protocol and user journeys.
  • Recommending the performance engineering approach for software application and best suitable performance test approach considering all the aspect in the given software system architecture.
  • Independently work and deliver the performance test deliverables on time
  • Organize the status meetings and send the Status Report. Escalate the issues about project requirements to Project Manager. Keep track of the new requirements / change in requirements of the Project
  • Assist in resource planning and test estimation
  • Works with project teams, Architecture teams, Agile teams and QA test lead to establish performance testing scope and effort
  • Collaborate with business analysts and SME's to ensure Performance Testing requirements are validated
  • Develop fit-for-purpose stakeholder reporting.
  • Work in cross-functional project teams using multiple delivery methodologies
  • Aid Testing Strategy design, execution and governance

 

In order to be successful in this role, you will have:

 

  • An undergraduate qualification
  • 8 years of experience in performance testing with a minimum of 3+ years' experience in Performance Test Lead competencies.
  • Proven experience in developing, implementing and maintaining Performance Test frameworks across technology stacks and toolsets.
  • Experience in establishing, managing and governing performance test frameworks, strategies and operating models within complex organisations.
  • Ability to influence and drive vendor performance test approaches to meet testing needs.
  • Experience in Test landscapes that include many integrated systems, various stakeholders and multiple vendor teams.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.  
  • Ability to work with different areas of the organisation in gather information.
  • Ability to work autonomously with little supervision.
  • Proven experience with various performance testing tools such as JMeter, Neoload etc
  • Experience with setup and identification of bottlenecks with enterprise monitoring tools such as Datadog, New Relic, Dynatrace, Diagnostics, CA Wily and AppDynamics etc
  • Extensive experience in multiple protocols such as Http/Html, SAP, Webservices, WinSock, SAP and Citrix or any others
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to prioritise and control workload
  • Demonstrated collaboration skills and a successful track record in building strong relationships with business and technology stakeholders
