About the role  


It’s an exciting time to be at ahm because we love pushing the boundaries and making health insurance more simple, easy, and affordable. As a Strategic Partnerships Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Strategy and Partnerships team in realising ahm’s growth agenda.

In this role you will monitor and optimise the performance of ahm’s indirect sales channels, garner market and industry insights, and help identify and accelerate new partnership opportunities.


Reporting to the Strategic Partnerships Lead, you are happy to roll your sleeves to:


  • Lead day-to-day management of indirect sales channels, including commercial performance, market intelligence, and competitor trends and insights.
  • Conduct analyses of strategic opportunities that support ahm’s business strategy, including the evaluation and due diligence of new partnerships, channels, products, and investment opportunities.
  • Build knowledge of market trends, competitors, and customers, to enable you to act as a centre of ahm excellence in these areas.
  • Act as the primary point of contact and conduit between partners and ahm, facilitating stakeholder involvement in problem resolution, service delivery, and performance optimisation.

What else? You are…


  • Degree qualified with demonstrated experience in finance, strategy, and/or business development roles.
  • Proven experience working in a highly analytical role that influences key strategic decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to structure a story, and communicate with clarity and precision to influence broad stakeholder groups.
  • Advanced ability to deal with complexity and ambiguity by applying issue-based problem-solving and other frameworks to define and solve novel problems.
  • Strong project management skills demonstrating high attention to detail and being able to deliver on time, and to agreed specification and budget.
  • Exceptional ability to collaborate with diverse cross-functional teams, focussing on leveraging your influencing skills to drive commercial outcomes for the business.
  • Demonstrable track record of being able to balance commercial and strategic delivery, underpinned by strong risk management and operational excellence.
