The Role:

Reporting to the Head of Network Engineering, the Network Implementation Manager is part of the project and operations team. This role covers elements of operational support, solution design and roadmap as well as security ownership of Medibank’s networks. 

 

The Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of implementation specialists in deploying and configuring complex network infrastructures, cloud services, and robust security controls.
  • Address and resolve escalated technical issues during and post-implementation, ensuring minimal disruption to client operations.
  • Maintain regular and clear communication with clients and internal teams regarding project progress, challenges, and requirements.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their requirements for network, cloud, and security implementations.
  • Develop comprehensive project scopes and implementation strategies.
  • Ensure that all implementations comply with industry standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements.
  • Implement and maintain robust security controls including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and encryption protocols.
  • Ensure that Network Operations Processes and SLA are met and improved where applicable.

 

About You

  • Highly experienced across the Network & Infrastructure space
  • Previous role history in Network management, Operations, Identity Platforms, Zero Trust, Device Posture & Security
  • Strong communicator with the ability to manage multiple stakeholder relationships and coordinate multiple channels of work.
  • Solid foundation in customer service as well as a good understanding of continuous improvement.
  • Experience leading & mentoring a small team.
  • Network/Infrastructure certifications are desired but not essential.
