As a Medical Advisor you will play a key role in providing clinical expertise across Medibank, supporting decisions that require medical practitioner oversight while contributing to new and innovative models of care.

You will help ensure our members receive safe, evidence‑based information and support a range of initiatives that advance health outcomes.

In this role, your clinical expertise will directly influence how Medibank supports members through key health decisions.

You’ll be empowered to guide complex clinical determinations, help shape clinical programs, contribute to quality governance, and support innovative models of care.

It’s an opportunity to make a meaningful impact—improving outcomes for our members while helping evolve Australia’s health system.

Your impact

• Providing medical advice on key clinical decisions such as pre‑existing condition determinations and clinical ex‑gratia requests
• Reviewing clinical and health information to ensure it is evidence‑based, accurate and aligned with
• Medibank’s governance standards
• Supporting assessment of accidents, incidents and scope of cover enquiries
• Offering clinical input into new programs
• Contributing to health intervention design, implementation and evaluation
• Collaborating with cross‑functional teams and stakeholders across the organisation
  Standing in for the Senior Medical Advisor where required

You might already have the skills for this role if you…

• Are an Australian-registered Medical Practitioner with at least 3 years’ clinical experience
• Have strong analytical and critical‑thinking abilities
• Communicate confidently with healthcare providers, stakeholders and consumers
• Work effectively in cross‑functional teams and enjoy collaborative problem‑solving
• Are adaptable, purpose‑driven and motivated to improve health outcomes
• Bring knowledge of health systems, public health, health promotion or PHI (desirable)
