Date:  13-Jan-2022

Will you actively create a healthier future for tomorrow?

At Medibank we’re encouraged to think big. We have a clear purpose to impact better health outcomes for our customers, patients and our community.

We celebrate diversity of thought because we want to make better decisions for our customers. As we work towards our goal of better health for better lives, we value the knowledge and contribution of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders. We are working hard to create an inclusive workplace and develop Indigenous careers.

Leading healthcare analytics

Our national home healthcare business provides care and wellbeing services in alternative settings to hospitals. This is an area that we have been actively growing, led by our acquisitions of Home Support Services (HSS) and HealthStrong in recent years.

Homecare now delivers a number of hospital and nursing services to patients in the home backed by forward-thinking and progressive corporate support teams.

The Manager, Homecare Analytics is responsible for leading a team of Analysts that provides reporting, analysis and insights across the Homecare business. This is delivered by:

  • Delivering the insights required to optimise the performance of Homecare’s existing service offerings
  • Delivering high-quality reporting to our clients that complies with agreed requirements
  • Improving Homecare’s capability for delivering analytics and insights to drive decision-making
  • Migrating data and reporting from outdated platforms and tools.

Success Looks Like…

With experience in programming and data visualisation such as SQL, Python and/or SAS, you take a well thought out and analytical approach to work and offer sustainable solutions to complex problems taking into account the longer time horizon.

You build strong relationships with stakeholders and shape communications to influence outcomes, promoting collaboration and looking beyond your own business area to bring people together to achieve common goals.

Managing large datasets, you ensure integrity, quality, accuracy and privacy of data for analysis and are familiar with Australian Data Standards.

Your experience in managing data/reporting analyst teams, research, analysis, evaluation and/or modelling of health, and human services data on expenditure, utilisation and outcomes will be highly regarded.

With a customer-first approach, you leverage your desire to improve and progress the outcomes of health data through strong communication skills and experience in creating engaging and effective analysis artefacts including reports, papers and presentations.

A career with us

We encourage you to talk to us about any adjustments or additional support you may require during the recruitment process, as well as how this role can be flexible for you. Virtual interviews are always on offer and will not adversely impact your application.

All employees who may attend a worksite or any face-to-face work-related activity will be required to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 as a condition of employment.

We offer a range of great benefits such as subsidised private health insurance, rewards and discounts, and health and wellbeing initiatives. To find out more, click here.
