The Opportunity


Our People are at the forefront of everything we achieve. The People & Services (My HR) team provides support to teams within People & Culture function in the delivery of the wider strategic business objectives and provides operational support to all business units across the Medibank Group.


This role is a great opportunity for anyone who is passionate about People & Culture and wants to start their P&C journey. For now, this will be a virtual work from home role but can be office based in the future. This role is a 12 month fixed term role, and has come about from an internal move. 


As a People Services Administrator, your key areas of accountability include:


  • Acting as a point of contact for line managers on general People & Culture questions;
  • Being the People & Culture process champion for line managers and admin/support staff in respect to payroll and People & Culture processes, including role change activities, procedures and forms;
  • Responding to employee and manager queries on email, by phone and face to face;
  • Ensuring policies and procedures are communicated consistently to employees as necessary;
  • Liaising closely with the People & Culture community to close out issues;
  • Providing support to employees in the use of employee self-service;
  • Using SuccessFactors and Workforce to generate various regular and adhoc P&C reports;
  • Generating employee contracts in line with processes and legislation; and
  • Working on payroll administration tasks.


About you


You will have a strong interest in pursuing a career in HR and, ideally, be studying towards a HR or Business qualification. With demonstrated experience in a fast paced customer service environment, you will bring strong administrative skills, high attention to detail, the ability to multitask and work well in a team, along with highly developed written and verbal communication skills. You can think on your feet, solve problems creatively and can build relationships quickly across all levels of the organisation.
