The Opportunity

Join Medibank as an Analyst – Hospital & Performance Analytics, where your work will help shape smarter decisions in hospital contracting and performance. You’ll collaborate across teams to deliver insights that support better health outcomes and drive commercial value.

In this role, you’ll work closely with our contracting team to assess hospital efficiency, performance and quality. Your analysis will inform strategic initiatives and uncover opportunities to improve how we partner with providers. You’ll be part of a supportive, growth-focused team that values curiosity, collaboration and continuous learning.

What you’ll be doing:

• Turning complex data into clear, actionable insights that support Medibank’s healthcare strategies
• Designing commercial models and dynamic dashboards with strong business logic and validation
• Monitoring hospital benefit outlays and identifying performance trends
• Profiling providers, assessing risk, and supporting contracting decisions with data-driven recommendations

About You

You bring a strong foundation in a quantitative field—such as mathematics, statistics, health analytics or economics—and a passion for using data to make a difference.

You’re a strategic thinker and a natural storyteller, able to translate analytics into meaningful business impact. You’re confident working with tools like SAS, SQL, R or Python, and experience with Tableau or similar dashboard platforms is a bonus.

A background in health, insurance or finance is helpful, but what sets you apart is your ability to influence stakeholders and deliver insights that drive smarter decisions.
