Financial Accountant – 6 Month Fixed-Term Secondment

The Opportunity

We’re looking for a Financial Accountant to join our Financial Control team in Finance & Strategy. In this role, you’ll help keep our financial records accurate, contribute to month‑end and year‑end processes, and support the preparation of our financial statements. You’ll play an important role in strengthening our balance sheet, improving financial governance, and helping us find smarter, more efficient ways of working.

How you will create value

• Maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger.
• Preparing journals including accruals, prepayments and provisions, and ensuring payroll is accounted for correctly.
• Completing balance sheet reconciliations and investigating outstanding items.
• Assisting with half‑year and annual financial statements, including analysis of variances and key drivers.
• Responding to external auditor queries.
• Supporting financial reporting tasks including BAS, FBT, PAYG and payroll tax submissions.

About You

• A degree in Accounting, Commerce or Business.
• Experience working in accounting, ideally within a large organisation or audit environment.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with large ERP systems (SAP is a bonus) and solid Excel skills.
• Confidence working with large data sets.
• CPA or CA qualification (or working toward one) is welcomed but not essential.
