The Opportunity

 

As a Vendor & Facilities Specialist joining Medibank, you will play a key role in providing efficient and effective day-to-day, operational support that contributes to the development of successful external supplier relationships to support the property and operations teams in addition to the wider organisation.

 

You will develop partnerships with Medibank’s Service Partners and work closely with the Vendor Relationship Manager to seek ways to improve efficiencies, better service members and staff, reduce costs and continuously evolve processes.

 

Your impact:

 

  • Maintain a high standard of communication that is positive, collaborative, and solutions-focused between Medibank and its suppliers.
  • Work collaboratively with Medibank’s outsourced facilities management provider and other vendors to ensure delivery of services to Medibank.
  • Financial oversight of vendor and landlord related FM works. Ensuring verification of works and invoicing is in line with DOA authority limits.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory regulations on fire, health and safety standards to maintain a safe and compliant environment.
  • Make recommendations for process improvements within supplier management processes.
  • Provide accurate and timely distribution of reports to key account contacts and stakeholders.
  • Prompt review and approval of work orders raised through an online portal.

 

 

To be considered

 

You have proven experience supporting and working with Vendors in a similar role.

 

You enjoy roles that require collaborating to actively achieve common work goals and you pride yourself on your communication skills.

 

You are not afraid to challenge assumptions and flourish in roles that encourage you to think outside the box and consider process improvements.

 

You are highly organised and your attention to detail is one of your key strengths.

 

Comfortable wearing multiple hats, you enjoy multitasking and understand the importance of time management and prioritising. 

 

 

Other skills

 

  • Demonstrated experience in day-to-day management of business relationships, ideally within a business to the business environment
  • Financial acumen including the ability to analyse and challenge quotations and costs and use Excel to a basic level
  • The ability to prioritise competing tasks, managing expectations accordingly.
  • Experience operating within a contractually led business environment with an understanding of commercial drivers and business processes.
