We’re looking for a passionate Engineering Lead to join our Connected Health Technology team, where you’ll play a critical role in shaping the future of virtual care and digital health experiences.
This is a senior, hands-on leadership role where you’ll guide a high-performing squad to design and deliver scalable, secure, and customer-focused health solutions. You’ll combine deep technical expertise with strong people leadership to build technology that genuinely improves health outcomes.

What you’ll be doing
- Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary squad of engineers, BAs, and delivery professionals
- Drive the technical vision, architecture, and engineering standards for virtual care platforms
- Design and deliver scalable, distributed systems enabling connected health experiences.pdf)
- Stay hands-on — contributing directly to the codebase and solving complex technical challenges
- Champion quality engineering practices, including code reviews, testing, and system observability
- Guide architectural and implementation decisions across APIs, integrations, and cloud platforms
- Continuously improve engineering capability, mentoring and growing talent across the team
What you’ll bring
- 7+ years in software engineering, with hands-on coding expertise
- Proven experience leading engineering teams in technical leadership roles
- Strong background in system design, architecture, and scalable platforms
- Experience building modern, distributed applications and APIs.
- Deep knowledge of engineering best practices, design patterns, and agile delivery
Healthcare / virtual care focus
- Experience working in healthcare, telehealth, GP practices or digital health environments (highly regarded)
- Understanding of consumer-facing health experiences, patient journeys, or clinical workflows
- Appreciation for privacy, security, and regulatory considerations in healthcare systems
Technology capability
- Cloud and cloud-native architecture experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Our platforms are predominantly built on Node serverless stacks, utilizing ReactJS (Using NextJS web framwork) for front ends.
- All deployed on AWS
- Microservices, containerisation, and modern engineering practices
- DevOps, CI/CD, and event-driven architectures
