You’ll combine hands-on Android development with strategic leadership, ensuring high-quality outcomes that meet business needs. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of up to 10 engineers, fostering growth, collaboration, and a culture of excellence.
• Drive recruitment, career development, and performance reviews for your team.
• Design and develop Android solutions using best practices, ensuring stability, scalability, and security.
• Translate product requirements into robust, customer-focused functionality.
• Champion engineering standards, governance, and DevSecOps practices across the team.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Promote continuous improvement, innovation, and knowledge sharing through Communities of Practice.
• Anticipate and resolve technical challenges, ensuring smooth delivery and operational support.

Must haves:

• Extensive experience in software design and implementation leadership.
• Strong Android development skills: Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Coroutines, and accessibility best practices.
• Proficiency in architecture patterns (MVVM, MVP, Clean Architecture).
• Experience with UI automation testing (Espresso), unit testing, and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Fastlane).
• Familiarity with static code analysis tools (Detekt, SonarQube) and crash reporting (Crashlytics).
• Knowledge of AWS or equivalent cloud services, RESTful APIs, and microservices patterns.
• Minimum 8+ years of industry experience and 2+ years in a leadership role.
• Agile experience (Scrum/Kanban) and understanding of TDD, CI/CD, and building high-quality solutions.

Bonus skills: iOS development (SwiftUI), security best practices, and experience with SAFe framework.
